IMpressed or Not IMpressed

I received impress press on manicure in my college voxbox called starstruck which looks more like a cheetah print to me. It comes in a really cute package shape as  a finger nail polish, the cap just twist off .

You can see SAM, in the background!!! Anyways, this manicure set lasted for about 6 days total not really a week but 5 out of those 6 days I was working, and work in retail. So, for me to working with customers,helping with fitting room, bring cloths to them, and do many other things they did a wonderful job.

 

Here is what they look like on the nail. It is really simple just take the nails out see which ones fit your fingers first, then take the alcohol wipe the nails, the peel the backing of the nail (I highly recommended to peeling all backing off first) and then place on nail and press firmly. Walla instant  manicure. The only thing that I wasn't really impressed about it after a couple of days I notice chipping of the paint on the nail. It could be that working with hangers and all made it chip off.

However, I still like them and would wear more of them. I like the concept of the this product and so much easier and affordable then getting your nails done professionally.

So, let me know your thoughts of them. I would love to hear your feedback.

DINO LINGO - A FUN WAY TO LEARN A NEW LANGUAGE

While checking on my Influenster points on my badges I came across Dino Lingo in my fun file. I was like what is this, hmmm interesting while watching a small clip of  Dino Lingo I was really in awe. It is about learning to speak a different language for kids!!  I was very impressed, because the clip I was seeing was French. I took French in elementary school and still remember some words, but I thought to myself this would be awesome for the kids to learn something I use to know. Also, I like that they repeat the words, have the words down on the right hand part of the screen and showing a picture to make it stand out.

 

 

Here is the clip that my 4 and 7 yr old, and I were watching.

 

Its really cute and colorful, the kids were really trying to say the words and listen very carefully. I think its the whole thing with a cartoon that really draws them in.  For any parent this would be the kid version of our Rosetta stone but way more affordable !!!

COLLEGE VOXBOX

I had a wonderful suprise in my mail box today!!! My College Voxbox which is filled with goodies !! I was so excited when I saw it. Soon as I got into the house I riped it open and was so happy for what I got!!

First, I couldn't wait to share it with everyone one. So I uploaded a video doing unboxing ! Trying out the Necco wafers and the engery sheets was pretty awesome, they both taste really good. The necco wafers are deffintly something to pick up and put it in your purse, for a fun yummy snack on the go. For the engery sheets, they reminded me of the listerne packets but with caffine in it. I use this when I am low on engery which came in handy when working long hrs at work. 

Now for the the NYC  eyeliner in metallic black with gilter particals. I use this eyeliner all the time for the past week , it glinds on very smooth and love the application of it. For the impressed broadway nails  its has been about a whole week with four days of working a retale job and they are still on!!


All in all, I recommened all the products show here..The only thing I didn't recieve in my college voxbox was  Pentel Pen which I'm a pen junkie. LOL  So I hope they send me a pentel pen. I hope you find this helpful and something to try out your self.

Here I am clicking away at my keyboard typing in their website, creating a account (which is free) and just browsing away.  They give you a step by step guide of how they work and what they are all about. Giving you a chance to receive a voxbox full of goodies that you would like !
All you really have to do is review products, answer some question, share the products, and some other things as well. It is really not hard and very easy.

I was hooked!! I started to earn badges and really getting into reviewing things that I had already have. Then one day I got an email wanting to confirm that I'll be sent a Voxbox !! I was totally stoked about it. Hmmm my first box!!

It didn't take that long to get to my house ( I think it was about a week). Oh man I like ripped it open to see what I have gotten, which was Lambar,(a healthy all organic bar) NYC lip gloss in Nude new york, Impressed manicure nails, coconut soft soap bar, and probably something else just can't remember. Yes,I got all this for free!!

~STUFFED BELL PEPPERS~

Here is a fun, easy, and really good for the Whole family recipe, that I just through together with out looking at a recipe site or book..I really hope you enjoy..OOOO, you can switch it however you like, make your own creation and tell what you think about it or Just share what you did!! I would love to hear about it!! 


Any way lets get to cookin!!!

~STUFFED BELL PEPPERS~

 1 pound of Ground Turkey
 1 box of Pilaf Rice
 2-4 bell peppers
 1cup of low fat cheese per bell pepper
 pinches of salt and pepper ( or other seasonings to your taste)


1) Spray bottom of Casserole dish
2) Heat oven to 400*
3) Cook Pilaf Rice as shown on the box
4) Cook Ground Turkey through
5) Cut tops of bell peppers remove seeds, Cut bottom to stand up ( so they want fall over)
6) Layer bell pepper Ground Turkey, Rice, Cheese. Repeat for all peppers.
7) Bake for 30 mins, and ENJOY!!!

ONCE UPON A TIME MAKE TUT..!!

What that you ask once upon a makeup?? Yes, Moonchild717 and Me are doing a once upon a time makeup series!! How exciting is that!! I can't wait.. This is how we are splitting it up She'll do the fictional character and I'll do the reality character or vs. This week we are doing Little Red Ridding hood, and man was it hard for me to get the cat eye effect really good since this like my first eye cat ever!!! I really like her look in both parts that she does. Its really simple and not that hard for the makeup just that darn cat eye.. Any who, We will be posting it up sometime this week but here is a sneak peak of something that AWESOME!!!

WASSUP VALENTINES?!!

Valentines day is around the corner with its bright pink and red decor, candies, stuff animals, and cards. Now I know lots of you out there are so excited about the day, and have everything planned out, hoping to have the most amazing day ever with your amazing person. I'm one of those people that can not wait, but I use to not be. I think  I have only received one time two roses on this day and they where from my friends, which was so sweet of them ( but how sad for me!!).

 Anyways, I also know tons of people who are ANTI-HEART DAY that could careless and its just a wasted day for them and there sad b/c they don't have that girl or guy to share it with.. Well hello people you do !!! Yes it might not be your prince charming or that hot ass down the street but guess what you have ppl that would love to share valentines with you!! Such as Your mom, dad, brother or sister, and how about your friends that are in the same boat. So what do you do?? Hmmmm Call say hey what are you doing this day?? OOH really well how about we could share it together lets go out for some fun?? Alright how about dinner and bowling?? sound good?? Sweet ya I'll pick you up around blah blah blah!!  See its not that hard. LOL!!  I know I know its easier said then done will, if you want something done you got to get off that lazy couch and call!!!! I have been in the same shoes before and I have done that, and I had a great time. So stop being the ANTI-VALENTINES person get out there a make something out of that day!!!

OMELET IS TODAYS WORD!!

Today is some what of a boring day and I finally ate something because I'm not a morning person at all, that gets up all perky and ready for breakfast. I drag in going ugh.. coffffeee!!! I don 't fully wake up until lunch time. By that time I'm starving and I was like hmmm what to eat, what to eat?? How about some eggs!!

Alrighty you guys, and girls ready to make some yummy Omelets?? Here is what you need

1) two eggs
2)milk (I use 1% milk. Can't stand skim yucky)
3) salt and pepper
4) put any fresh veggies in and cheese
             (I put cilantro, sharp cheddar,spinach leafs, and lunch meat)
but you can do however you like.
5) of course need a small skillet pan
6) spray with some cooking spray that way it slide out really easy


Combine milk,eggs,salt and pepper. Beat until well combined. Turn on med high. spray pan. Put your mixture in the pan. Wait about 2 to 3 mins . When the bottom starts to bubble then take a flat spatula and skim the edges up to create a pocket so the rest of the egg can go into. repeat as many times until all egg is cooked. Add your veggies!!! Let it set for another 2-3 min. Then take you spatula and make a fold. ( like folding a piece of paper) and Wallah!! you have an omelet!!

I hope yours turn out the same, If not keep on practicing. Trust me it took me a good while to get it down but once you have, you'll love make this!!

TATTOO'S

Alright I finally got my old tatt's covered with really pretty new ones. A little background on the old Tattoo's, I got these when I was living in Hawaii and it was my friends husband who does tattoo's. I saw some of his work when he was in Iraq and they where amazing. So I was all hyped about it and really excited well, I'm his first female client and he was nervous about hurting me. I"m like dude its a tattoo its going to hurt regardless , ( plus this is my first one as well). Anyways, he did them and I was like they look great blah blah. but in my mind was like omg they are horrible. I learned to love them and I gotten so many compliments on them even tell this day I still do even though its been 3 yrs and they have faded badly.

 Here is a pic of them before I got them covered.

See they didn't look really bad at first but the more you look at them, it looks like a kid did them. The husband called me back wanting to know if I need a touch up before I left to go back to mainland, I was like nope I'm good ( never again well I ever go to him).

Like I said its been 3 years since this happened and I was getting tired of them..So boring and faded not very pretty I wanted them to be gone or something. I started to work for Kohl's and one of my co workers was looking at them and told me I should go to Vintage Tattoo Co. and ask for Lacey. So, yesterday I finally went and I was not disappointed..She is amazing !!!

Here is what they look like now!!

They are still healing, but I'm so pleased !!! Now If you live in the Gulfport, Bilioxi,Ocean springs, or in the gulf coast area I deff. check them out and ask for LACEY !!!

WAY OVER DUE!!

WoW !! I didn't even know if I could still get on here, thought I lost my password.. but When I was going through things and older post ...I was like wow thats so old and so many things have changed and new people in my life. Its crazy!! I still live in gulfport, but with a new man and new friends. Yes thats right i'm divorced oh well, I'm loving life to the fullest with a amazing man to live life with. My life has gone through so much that I just didn't know how I'm going to go through. but here I am..still living. This is really sounded stupid..Oh well. Anywho, I thought I would update a little but I don't think People really read my post or look at it. You know what I'm really going to put some effort into this b/c I love writing. I have always kept a journal beside my bed and would write in it almost every day ( well at least try to) So this will be my knew journal, I'll try to write in it everyday but want make a promise. Life likes to through you things such as lemons so you can make lemonade, or how about some lime to make limeade?? Bahaha what ever the case maybe I'll do my best and just maybe I'll have people to read them and comment on them, now that would be awesome!!! Alrighty I think I done enough rambling on...

OH another things I wrote this along time ago about either NOV or OCT of last yr..Sry I forgot even had it!!

MY NOLA ADVENTURE!!

Two days ago I went to NOLA (New Orleans) which never really been, only the airport that I have been too. Anyways, I had to wake up at 645 am to get ready for the day to meet my friends at the Starbucks so we can start our adventure. We arrived roughly around 930 am which only took about an Hour to get to. ( yes, I live only 45min-1hr away) Our first stop was the wedding dress place, My friend had to do the last fitting for her dress..Omg it was beautiful on her. I wish I had a pic of it oh well. That took alittle bit but well worth the wait to get things fixed.

The we proceed to Magazine Street which is where all the Vintage and Antiques stores are. ( highly recommend going)

It was wonderful going down and looking into all of the stores, seeing what they had, and kinda go back in time with some of them. Along the way we stopped by THE RUMS HOUSE which is really good food. It's an inspired Caribbean food if you like that sort of thing, so I suggest going there for something new!!! I had the Brisket sandwich with sweet potato chips. Grant it, it was alot and I couldn't eat it all, LOL!! thank goodness for take home boxes!!!

Also, on a our trip down the street we all saw this wall that we thought it ppl left their beer on a wall. In fact, it was beer taps made into a water fountain which was pretty awesome!!

 Any who, on to more of the adventure, We went to the French Quarter to have some yummy beignet which I have never had, they are awesome!!( if you like funnel cake you'll love this). Just a side note you will get powder sugar on you, so prepared!!

While we where there a jazz band started to play, well more like a three band man type thing, but is every where in NOLA! It was really cool to have this experience being out doors,eating a yummy treat, while music plays..

I really didn't want to leave but had to go, getting late and things to do.I hope you like my little adventure, I definitely will be returning. Oh one last stop a beautiful church, that is great for photo ops.

NYC NEW YORK COLOR (NUDE)

I received a VoxBox from Influenster ( which I think everyone should check it out), anyways, about a month ago came in a full sample of the Nude lip gloss from New York Color. I was really excited to try this out b/c I have heard so much about the NYC product line. The packaging is simple but nice to the eyes and I like the applicator as well. The smell of the lip gloss is yummy and the texture goes on very smoothly, not even sticky at all which is a big plus for me. ( I hate lip gloss that sticky, do you??) Moving on I have worn it for a good month now, I have to say I really like enjoy the product and the color is great too as well b/c I don't have anything need and this does the job for me. With all that said I highly suggest to get one in your makeup line, you want regret.

Update; THE CLOSET

I"m so excited about getting rid of this ugly wall color and doing something new to the closet. It just hit me after watching a Home depot commercial of a lady redoing her closet, and I'm like hmmm what can I do to mine...

I got an idea, fresh paint move part of the shelving to the other side where I can hang my shirts on one and my pants on the bottom part, an where my shelving was make a vanity. So far just have paint which is.....

PURPLE!!!

Yep, purple, I was going to paint it Utah sky blue that I did the kitchen and in the guest bathroom but didn't have enough, sniff sniff. Which sucked a pretty color but purple is too..It looks really good so far. 

Well got done today with everything the shelving the painting and put everything together so here it is!! the finish product.

TADA!!! I LOVE IT!!
